550Access is a cheap ISP that offers regular dial-up service for only $5.50 per month. Of course, there are sacrifices that must be made for discount ISPs but the difference is not a great one depending on what the consumer requires. The low monthly price includes unlimited access, one email address that is web based only, a pop-up blocker, free antivirus protection, free software, and free technical support via email or chat. It provides the basics of every other ISP at a fraction of the cost. The service can be billed on a month-to-month plan, bi-annually, or annually. The service allows unlimited usage for up to 300 hours in a month's time. If the user requires more hours all they need to do is call to have their usage increased. There is no additional charge for this as it is only a safety precaution to avoid fraudulent use. The service can be initiated online or by phone.
