Pay attention to who the modem will allow a connection with for broadband or DSL because many speedstream modems are specific to a premium internet provider. The service can usually be signed up for inside the store the speedstream modem is being purchased from. If not then the consumer can sign up over the phone or online if they have a current connection or access.
