What is analog?

Analog is…

About analog devices: Analog is a way of transmitting information through electronic signals of frequency or amplitude. It has continuous waves that move up and down that is indiscrete. Common analog devices are clocks, radios, old cellular phones, etc. The analog signal is most often used to day in telephone lines, radio broadcasts, and television broadcasts. The two common methods of analog modulation are amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). Analog is very different from a digital signal because it has a constant transmission whereas a digital signal starts and stops. A digital signal is more finite and reliable than an analog signal. Also, a digital signal is made up of zeros and ones and an analog signal can handle many different values.
